The L&L Story
Behind every great company is a story worth telling. Ours begins with twin brothers and a shared vision.
The “L&L” in our name represents Lavern and Linford Zook—that’s us. Growing up in rural Clymer, PA as part of a lively family with eight siblings, we learned early on what matters most in life and business.
Our parents loved God profoundly and ingrained deep values into our hearts about honesty and always doing the right thing.
Dad and Mom believed success in life happened with hard work and the completion of every project started.
We’re honored to give them much credit for our successful roofing business today.
Even more, we give God the glory. Without His unbelievable blessings and guidance, we would have absolutely nothing to show for our hard work.
In 2005, at just 20 years old, we took a leap of faith and established L&L Overhead Doors. We poured our energy into building something valuable for our community, learning countless lessons along the way.
The real turning point came in 2009 when we discovered Commercial Conklin Roofing Systems. This encounter changed everything.
After experiencing the exceptional quality of Conklin’s materials firsthand, we rebranded as L&L Roofing Systems, LLC—a decision we’ve never once questioned.
In our decade-plus partnership with Conklin, we’ve consistently received products that live up to their 50-year reputation for excellence.
Our passion for roofing is matched only by our gratitude—for our supportive wives and families who’ve become integral to our business, for our exceptional team members who share our commitment to quality, and for clients who’ve become friends over the years.
